Lifting Exercise

On the day we learned about animating lifting, I had to work from home, and so I used 3D Pencil instead of TV Paint to animate myself lifting a heavy object.

This was good practise, but I found the acting part difficult, as I didn’t have anything heavy in my room/flat, so I felt my reference wasn’t a good as it could have been.

I also didn’t do a proper rough version first, trying to draw an outline of myself straight away. In my second attempt I made it much rougher:

I wasn’t really happy with this, and since the workshop on walking cycles with Christina, I have felt more confident in my acting ability. So today I video-ed myself again, acting it a bit better, and made a rough animation on TV Paint. Here it is:

I’m much happier with this one. I also put more into exaggerating the movement. I drew from my reference, but also added a few frames to exaggerate what was happening. This has led to a much more satisfying animation.

Then I made it loop! :>
